MANSFIELD — About 50 local residents found a seat inside Richland Source offices Wednesday night to hear from Mansfield candidates on the ballot in November.

Mansfield voters will elect four City Council members and three school board members on Nov. 4. A majority of the candidates for those positions spoke Wednesday as Richland Source again hosted “Candidate Conversations.”

All eight City Council candidates were invited to participate, as were all five candidates for the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education.

Richland Source Deputy Managing Editor Carl Hunnell moderated the City Council conversations. Reporter Katie Ellington Serrao led the discussion with school board candidates.

The evening was also livestreamed on the Richland Source Facebook and YouTube pages with the assistance of our partners at DRM Productions.

Residents in attendance Wednesday evening heard from:

— Mansfield City Schools Board of Education (Non-partisan race, five candidates for three seats): Deena Hamilton, Rebecca Wayman and Gary Feagin. Chris Elswick and Linda Golden were unable to attend Wednesday. A preview of this race will publish on Richland Source on Oct. 18.
