Mitzi Lucille Graley, 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Mill Creek Nursing Home. Mitzi was born to the late parents of Ballard and Mary (Ellis) Parks on March 14, 1933, in Wolf Pen, West Virginia.

Mitzi was a proud graduate of Charleston High School, class of 1951. She transitioned into a career as a telephone operator, where her friendly voice and infectious smile lit up the day for countless callers.

Mitzi was not just a remarkable professional; she was also the heart of her family. Known for her extraordinary cooking, her southern culinary skills provided both nourishment and comfort, making her kitchen a gathering place for friends and family. Her talents extended to gardening, both vegetables and flowers, where she found peace among the plants she nurtured. Whether crafting beautiful handmade items or taking long walks on the beach, Mitzi embraced life with enthusiasm, creating a legacy of love and joy.

Left to cherish Mitzi’s memories are her two beloved daughters, Mary McCammon and Ellen Rutrough, grandchildren, Joey, Angie, Melissa, Jesse (Erin), and Mark (Brittany), great-grandchildren, Colton, Frehley, Bransen, Caleb, Brysen, Braelynn, and Brynnlee.

Along with Mitzi’s parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Noah “Rudy” Rutrough III.
