On June 29, 2025, Evelyn “Ev” Marie Lee passed away peacefully at the age of 74, surrounded by her family.
Born March 11, 1951, Ev became her parents’ pride and joy. On March 18, 1973, she married the love of her life, Mike, and following that, they had their two children, Stephanie and Laura.
Ev worked for the Sprint/United telephone company for 30 years. She enjoyed the time she spent there until she retired, and also the time she spent working at the Moose Lodge. Over everything, Ev enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Ev was known for her kind heart, generosity, and sense of humor. Her legacy for kindness and compassion was an inspiration to all. She was truly a friend to all.
Ev is survived by her daughter Stephanie; granddaughters Celeste (Niles) and Allie (Gavin); great grandsons Grayson and Jaxon; and two special uncles, Donald Dean and Russ Heiser.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Mike; her daughter Laura; her mother and father Mickie and Virgil; and her mother- and father-in-law Tereva and Bob.
The family would like to thank Ev’s lifelong friends for all of their support, including Cathy Littleton, Ann Hartland, Joyce Burger, Bonny Derr, Pat Dunn, Sharon Harvey Sautter, and Karen Blackledge.
Friends and family may gather to honor Ev’s memory on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Stephanie Lee to cover the costs of the care baskets she and the rest of the Lee family put together for cancer patients in memory of Ev’s late daughter, Laura.
