MOUNT VERNON — A 30-year-old Mansfield man died in a one-vehicle crash Friday evening, according to the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway patrol.

The accident occurred at 10:06 p.m. on Ohio 3 north of Mount Vernon in Knox County, according to troopers.

Joseph Morr was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer southwest on Ohio 3. His vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

The vehicle then struck a tree, overturned and hit a building, according to the patrol.

Moor, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Monroe Township Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
