Little Explorers: Scales
Wednesday, June 11   5:30pm   Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598

Little Explorers is an interactive program offered by the Crawford Park District for young children, ages 0-5. Activities focus on stimulating infants’ senses and developing toddlers’ and preschoolers’ fine motor skills. This month we’ll explore animals with scales, including our turtles, lizards and snakes!

Fishing Derby

Sat., June 14   8:30-10:30am   Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598

Join Crawford Park District staff and volunteers for our annual fishing derby. Children ages 5-12 can enjoy this activity at the Lowe-Volk pond. Prizes will be awarded in many categories such as the biggest catch and the smallest catch. You must provide your own fishing pole, tackle, and bait. Make it a family event! Archery

Tuesday, June 17   5-7pm   Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598

Archery has been around for thousands of years, and it is an activity that is still enjoyed today. Join the Crawford Park District for an evening learning about archery safety, shooting basics, and then see how many times you can hit your target. All equipment will be provided. We will have a session at 5pm and another at 6pm. Please call the Park District at 419-683-9000 to register. Canoeing

Thursday, June 19   5-7pm   Neff Reservoir, State Route 98, East of Bucyrus 

Stop out for an evening paddle around Neff Reservoir. Program participants will be given instructions on canoeing basics and safety from Crawford Park District staff members before you head out on the water. Please wear shoes that can get wet. All equipment will be provided. No registration required, but it will be first come, first served. Slugs and Snails
Friday, June 20   5:30pm   Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598

They are everywhere in the forest, scootching along on the forest floor, or up the trunk of a tree. Join Crawford Park District Director Cole and explore the slimy world of snails and slugs. This program will start indoors followed by a hike to look for our slimy friends in the woods. Please dress for the weather.
