Pamela Lee Boals, 93, of Crestline, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at OhioHealth Hospital in Mansfield. Pamela was born in Crestline, on March 8, 1932, to the late Paul and Mildred (Bertram) Marquart.
Pamela attended Crestline High School, Class of 1950. After completing her education, she attended college courses and pursued a career that she was passionate about—nursing. She dedicated 46 years of her life to the healthcare profession as a registered nurse at Crestline Hospital, where she was known for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to caring for others.
Pamela was married twice; her first husband, Jack Hammerburg, has since passed. She later married John Boals on April 27, 1957, with whom she shared a beautiful life. John preceded her in death on May 2, 2021. Together, they created a loving home in Crestline, where Pamela was the quintessential rock of her family.
A woman of strong faith, Pamela was an active member of the Ontario United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and played the piano, sharing her musical talents with the congregation. Her profound love for gardening and nurturing the world around her reflected her caring nature, and she will be remembered as the family’s biggest cheerleader.
Pamela was a proud member of the Ohio and American Nurses Association throughout her career and contributed to her community in countless ways. Her legacy of love, care, and dedication will be felt by all who knew her.
A devoted mother, Pamela, is survived by her two daughters, Kristi Spriggs and Julie (Michael) Laribee, both of Crestline, along with her three grandchildren, Jeremy Boals, Columbus, Tara Wells, Australia, Logan Henke, Shelby, and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Pamela was preceded in death by her grandson, Shawn Spriggs, and her brother, Paul Marquart.
In honor of Pamela’s life, a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Ontario United Methodist Church, 3540 Park Avenue West, Ontario, Ohio, beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Chris Bell and Pastor George Lee officiating. Pamela will be buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline at a later date.
