Thomas Kenneth “Kenny” Carroll, age 51, of Bellville, passed away on May 28th after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Kenny was born on January 18, 1974 in Troy, Ohio and was the son of Thomas A. Carroll, Jr. and Mary L. (O’Diam) Carroll.

After graduating from Clear Fork High School in 1992, Kenny spent most of his time working on the family farm. In 1998 he began work as the bus mechanic at Clear Fork Valley Local Schools. In 2004 Kenny decided to further his education and attended Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma, majoring in Aircraft Mechanics. Kenny graduated as valedictorian and also was able to take his tests to obtain his private pilot’s license in 2006. After graduation, Kenny was employed at the Dayton International Airport as an aircraft mechanic and later transferred to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport where he also worked as an aircraft mechanic and later advanced to supervisor and quality control inspector. After a five year tenure in aviation, Kenny made a career change and began work as the school bus mechanic at Loudonvile-Perrysville Schools and later served as the transportation supervisor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Karen (Urschel) Carroll, sons Garrett Carroll and Brayden Carroll, mother, Mary Carroll, sister Patricia (David) Fackler, mother-in-law, Sharon Urschel, father-in-law, Kenneth Urschel, and future daughter-in-law, Jillian Ericsson, along with his special dog, Charlie and a host of lifelong friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Carroll, Jr. and grandparents, Thomas A. Carroll, Sr. Wathena A. Carroll, Kenneth O’Diam, Mary O’Diam, and Uncle Gilbert Carroll and Uncle David O’Diam.

His family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home from 4-8 pm. A memorial serving honoring his life will be held Wednesday beginning at 11 am at New Life Church of Christ (195 W. Durbin Ave, Bellville) officiated by Pastor Steve Kistler.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to New Life Church of Christ, The Livestrong Foundation, or Hospice of Central Ohio may be brought to the services or sent to the funeral home.
