Melissa Sue Clark, 53, of Crestline passed unexpectedly on Friday, May 2, 2025, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Melissa was born on December 26, 1971, in Galion to Ricky Jeffrey and the late Rose (Walters) Jeffrey. On May 25, 1992, Melissa married her one true love, Jerry Clark, and they shared 33 years of marriage together.
Over the past 18 years, Melissa worked for GOAL Digital Academy, leaving an impact on the many lives she touched. She was a beacon of joy and warmth in the lives of all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and beautiful smile lit up every room, making her presence an unforgettable gift to those she loved.
Melissa found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was watching breathtaking sunsets, camping under the stars, or fishing by the serene waters. Melissa loved spending time outdoors and cherished exhilarating motorcycle rides with Jerry as well as leisurely golf cart adventures.
Her love for games brought her family and friends together, as she found joy in playing Texas Hold ’em, bingo, board games, and even Wii bowling. Melissa had a fond affection for the sunny shores and lively atmosphere of St. Petersburg, Florida, where she cherished memories made each year.
Above all, Melissa was a nurturing soul, dedicated to caring for her loved ones. She especially treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren, imparting her love and wisdom to them. Melissa’s fondness extended to her beloved dog, Sabel, who she loved dearly.
In addition to Jerry and her father, Melissa’s memories will be cherished by her children; Megan Clark of Bucyrus, Samantha Clark of Crestline and J.C. Clark of Crestline; her grandchildren; Hayden, Bailee, Emilee, P.J., Kurtis and Jaxon; and her siblings; Kressie (Crystal) Jeffrey of Fredericktown and Larry Jeffrey of North Canton.
Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Jeffrey and her brother, Eric Mills.
