MANSFIELD — Skate Ohio and Miripolsky LLC are proud to announce a groundbreaking multi-year partnership with internationally acclaimed pop artist Andre Miripolsky, marking one of the most significant cultural collaborations in the region’s history.
Miripolsky — best known for his iconic visual work with Elton John, including the celebrated Piano Key Suit painting — has long embodied the fusion of fine art, music, and public expression.
His socially conscious, street-influenced style helped define the pop art genre for decades. But it was a near-fatal car accident in 1984 that truly transformed his creative trajectory.
Temporarily confined to a wheelchair, Miripolsky began sketching what would evolve into one of the longest-running underground art campaigns in American history: Fear No Art. Eventually shown in over 300 museums and embraced by generations of artists, activists, and youth.
Created Together, Unveiled Together: Elton and the Decks
The Urban Ocean Sharks in Motion series was created in tandem with Miripolsky’s monumental 8-foot by 10-foot Elton John tribute painting, forming a unified creative period that represents a rare convergence of fine art, activism, and street culture.
Both the painting and the deck series were completed during the same studio period — an intentional fusion of scale, genre, and purpose. Because of this alignment, the entire collection has been requested to remain in Los Angeles for press and public viewing during the Historic Brewery Art Walk, May 3–4.
This iconic Los Angeles event draws tens of thousands of visitors, art collectors, and international press. It offers a rare opportunity for the decks — and for Mansfield — to be seen on a global stage, side-by-side with the Elton John masterpiece before their formal East Coast debut.
A Transformative Partnership
Thanks to a partnership built on faith, friendship, and shared purpose, Mansfield became the unexpected home of the original 1984 Fear No Art manifesto final chapter — and the birthplace of its next evolution. With Skate Ohio as the foundation, and regional youth and artists as the focus, this collaboration is now a platform for creative revitalization.
Seven of the ten original hand-painted decks will be auctioned, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Skate Ohio in support of:
• Skatepark construction
• Youth rehabilitation initiatives
• Arts empowerment programs throughout the Midwest
The remaining three decks will be retained by Miripolsky for historical preservation. In addition:
• All ten designs will be commercially reproduced for street use
• Limited-edition wall art prints (100 signed and numbered per design) will be made available to collectors
More Than Skateboarding
A full Miripolsky x Skate Ohio product line will launch in tandem with the deck auction, including artist-designed apparel, accessories, and lifestyle goods.
“This is more than just art or skateboarding,” said Adam McElroy, Vice President of Skate Ohio. “This is about bringing a community together through creative expression, philanthropy, and purpose. We’re honored to be the home of the final Fear No Art piece, and we’re excited to build the future with Miripolsky and his team.”

Looking Ahead
Miripolsky’s five-year agreement with Skate Ohio and regional nonprofit partners includes:
• Ongoing limited-edition artwork
• Charitable activations tied to skate and youth empowerment
• Rotating exhibitions and gallery installations
• Merchandise and large-scale public art initiatives
“This is the kind of partnership that redefines a city’s creative potential and together, we’re helping rebrand a region and inspire new generations to Fear No Art” said Andre Miripolsky.
Upcoming Preview + National Rollout
Both the Elton John 8′ x 10′ Painting and the Urban Ocean Sharks in Motion deck series will debut at the Brewery Art Walk in Los Angeles, May 3–4, before launching their national tour across the East Coast and Midwest.
