Crawford County law enforcement agencies part of the METRICH Enforcement Unit participated in a recent two-day interdiction operation.

CRAWFORD COUNTY — Suspected drugs and also a firearm were seized March 27-28 during a drug interdiction saturation operation that involved multiple law enforcement agencies in Crawford County.

Operating under the METRICH Enforcement Unit umbrella, the program focused on known drug areas and other areas of interest in Crawford County, resulting in multiple arrests.

The drug task force consists of law enforcement officers from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Galion Police Department, Bucyrus Police Department, New Washington Police Department and the Crestline Police Department.

Officials said the operation was a success and below are the total numbers that were achieved during the two-day effort:

— Number of Traffic Stops – 153

— Number of Citations Issued – 4

— Felony Arrests Non-Drug Related – 2

— Felony Arrests Drug Related – 5

— Misdemeanor Arrests Non-Drug Related – 3

— Firearms Located – 1

— Number of Drug Related Cases – 1

— Number of Warrant Arrests- 5

— Number of Individuals connected to treatment – 2

— Searches conducted – 62

— Drugs Seized – Methamphetamines and LSD
