MANSFIELD — A 20-year-old Mansfield man was charged with four felony drug counts Thursday after the METRICH Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at his 177 Vale Ave. residence.
Dekota Thompson was booked into the Richland County Jail on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, all first-degree felonies, according to Mansfield police Lt. Steve Blust.
Thompson was also charged with a fourth-degree felony of trafficking in cocaine.

“Further drug and weapon-related charges will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office,” Blust said.
During the raid, METRICH detectives were assisted by the Richland County ASORT and Mansfield police patrol officers.
Detectives seized 36 grams of suspected cocaine, $3,255 in cash, a Pardus 12-gauge shotgun, a Glock 9mm handgun and a KelTec 9mm rifle, along with other drug-related evidence, according to Blust.
He said 470 grams of methamphetamine were seized by detectives during the investigation.
The search warrant was signed by Mansfield Municipal Court Judge David Badnell, Blust said.
