MANSFIELD — Guns and cash were seized after a Wednesday raid in Mansfield, according to a press release from the METRICH Enforcement Unit.
Authorities executed a drug-related search warrant at 41 Glenbeck Lane and seized various items consistent with drug trafficking, a shotgun, a rifle, and $84,510 in U.S. currency, the press release stated.
Three individuals involved in the investigation reside at the residence, and charges will be sought at the conclusion of the investigation, METRICH stated. However, since no charges have yet been filed, Richland Source will not identify those individuals at this time.
“This enforcement action demonstrates the continued commitment of the METRICH Enforcement Unit and its law enforcement partners to disrupting drug trafficking and improving public safety throughout Richland County,” said Lt. Ryan Grimshaw.
The Mansfield Police and the METRICH Enforcement Unit worked together on this investigation.
“METRICH will continue to target those responsible for bringing and distributing illegal drugs within our communities and encourages citizens to report suspected drug activity,” Grimshaw said.
