Owen Wigton netted 11 points for the Rams, but was his team’s lone double-digit scorer.

Lexington raced to a 20-9 first-quarter lead and owned a 35-19 halftime advantage. The Minutemen exploded with a 31-point third-quarter barrage to widen the gap to 66-30 heading to the final stanza.

Coach Scott Hamilton’s team enjoyed a 29-17 rebounding advantage, outscored the Rams 40-22 in the paint, and shot 21-of-33 inside the arc (64 percent).

Madison finished the season with a 4-19 record.

Lexington moves into Tuesday’s district semifinal at Willard to meet fourth-seeded Ashland at 6 p.m. The Minutemen have beaten the Arrows twice this season, including a 59-58 overtime decision on Feb. 7.

The Arrows had a bye into the district tournament, and carry an 11-10 record into the matchup.
