ONTARIO — Rebounding proved to be the theme of the weekend for the Lexington boys basketball team.
On Saturday, the Minutemen hammered Ontario 75-50 in a non-conference encounter, utilizing a whopping 49-21 advantage on the glass.

That verdict came on the heels of Friday night’s huge win over previously undefeated Mansfield Senior. The dual weekend victories helped Lex rebound nicely from their first, and only, loss of the season last week at Wooster.
At Ontario, nine different Minutemen collected a board as coach Scott Hamilton’s team recorded nearly as many rebounds as the Warriors scored points.
Junior Joe Caudill led the way in the lane with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Colton Yugovich swiped 10 boards. In the scoring column, Gavin Husty was tops with 15 points, Dantrell Hughes added 12, and Latrell Hughes chipped in 11 points for a balanced attack.
Trezhon Fowler paced the Warriors with 18 points, and Cardale Brown netted 12.
Lexington was in control from the opening tip, forging an 18-7 first-quarter lead and a 33-19 margin at the half. It was 61-39 heading to the final eight minutes, and Lexington finished it by outscoring the hosts 14-11 in the fourth period.
Lexington is now 6-1 overall, and will host Madison on Friday night.
Ontario falls to 2-4, and will host Marion Harding on Monday night.
