Dorothy Elizabeth Elsasser of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Primrose Assisted Living.
Dorothy graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1952. She attended Wittenberg University, where Dorothy received a Master’s Degree.
She was an educator at Johnny Appleseed Jr. High and then became a school counselor at Mansfield Senior High.
She is survived by James Elsasser (nephew), Pamela and Stephen LaValle (niece). Derick and Kristin Elsasser (great nephew), Lisa and Mitch Smith (great niece} and Kristine and John Liadias (great niece) and several great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Reinhold and Rose Elsasser. Her brother Al Elsasser and sister-in-law Anne Elsasser.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 11am with visitation from 10-11am at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. with Pastor Ann Cammarn officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
