DOVER — Lexington overcame a slow start to deny Dover for a Saturday night road win in boys basketball action.
Junior Seven Allen paced the Minutemen (3-0) with 17 points, while classmate Joe Caudill contributed 15 points and five rebounds.
Dover (1-2) led the Minutemen 13-9 at the first-quarter stop. But Lex pushed in front 21-19 at halftime, and maintained a 41-28 spread heading to the final eight minutes.
Robbie Copple topped Dover with 16 points and Mason Grewell added 13.
Lexington netted 22-of-45 field goals, nearly 50 percent, while limiting the Tornadoes to 38-percent shooting (15-of-39).
The Minutemen will travel to New Philadelphia on Friday night.
