Sharon Mae Scalera, 72 of Galion, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, after a brief illness at The Ohio State Wexner Center.
Sharon was born on August 5, 1952, in Galion to the late parents of James Howard and Jacqueline (Wilson) Young. She married Joseph “Joe” Scalera on November 10, 1981, and he survives her.
Sharon worked for Steve and Penny Rumple at The Ash Tray in Galion for many years. She was known for being an avid collector of Dreamsicles and Barbies. Not a day went by that Sharon didn’t try her luck in playing the lottery. Sharon cherished the quality time spent with her husband, Joe.
In addition to her loving husband, Sharon is survived by her sons; Patrick Frye of Marion and Jason Frye of Johnsville; her grandsons; Kody Frye, Austin Frye and Owen Frye; her sister, Karen Holwager of Galion and special niece, Heidi Hollis of Galion.
