Branch of service: Army
Our dad is a special veteran! He celebrated his 90th birthday in June of 2024. He was born and raised in a farm in Butler Oh and has lived in this area his whole life. Two of his brothers were/are veterans also.
He went to Germany when he was in the army and loves to tell stories of his time there. He was a great photographer and has many pictures of the scenery there ( when he was allowed to take them)
He also opened a garage there and worked on military vehicles. The civilians would bring them their vehicles to be worked on also. His hearing is not so good these days because of those tanks.
After he retired, his main job was taking care of Mom until she passed in 2020 after 62 years of marriage.
My two sisters and I and all of our family think he is a great man.
