A special call out to my dad George. Being the youngest of 3 by many years it was not until I was an adult I found out what my Dad’s job was in the Navy. See for years every time my Dad cooked my Mom would say “you made enough to feed the whole platoon”s so I thought my Dad was a cook. It wasn’t until my youngest child took my Dad on the Honor Bus Trip that one of her classmates parents told my daughter what a BAD ASS her Grandpa was. My daughter asked what do you mean that she replied, “ your Grandpa was a Navy Seabee, a true Bad Ass!” That is how I found out he wasn’t a cook at all. Thank you for your service Dad. Your sacrifice to this Country will never be forgotten and will always be cherished!
