RICHLAND — Polls are open across Richland County at 34 different locations, according to local elections Director Matt Finfgeld.
Polls opened for voting at 6:30 a.m. and will remain open until 7:30 p.m.
Voters with absentee ballots CANNOT drop them off at a polling location today. Those MUST be taken to the Board of Elections at 1495 W. Longview Ave. by 7:30 p.m.
Voters CANNOT vote in person at the Board of Elections office today. All in-person voting must be done at your designated polling location.
Finfgeld is predicting that 70 to 75 percent of Richland County’s 80,000 registered voters will have cast ballots during this election cycle. There were more than 30,000 votes cast during early voting that ended Sunday.
“Thank a poll worker when you vote today. They are the backbone of democracy,” Finfgeld said Tuesday morning before polls opened.
(Voting activity was brisk today at 7 a.m. at Berean Baptist Church at 2145 Middle Bellville Road in Mansfield.)
