Sandra “Sandy” Kay Thomas, 72, of Findlay, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the Judson Palmer Home, Findlay. She was born September 12, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Orville P. and Clara E. (Filik) Eaton.
She is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann (Dan) Thomas-Lepley, of Findlay, brother, Ron Eaton, of Mansfield; sister, Brenda (Marty) Rice, of Hutchinson Island, FL; brother-in-law, Van Dennison, of Ft. Pierce, FL., along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Dennison.
Sandy attended St. Mary’s Grade School and was a graduate of Madison High School, Class of 1970. She was a member of the Findlay Moose Lodge #698, and the Findlay Women of the Moose Chapter #362. She enjoyed cross-stitch needlework and had a life-long love of traveling. She also enjoyed attending live music events, most especially Jimmy Buffett, and loved to read and listen to audiobooks.
A time to gather will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00AM, until the time of a brief service at 12:00PM, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Celebrating Sandy’s love of Jimmy Buffett’s music, Hawaiian shirts and tropical attire is encouraged.
