Richard “Rick” Floyd Miles Jr., 62, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home.
Rick was born July 24, 1961, in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and North Central State University. Rick enjoyed working on classic cars with friends at The Bucket Seat and loved his time playing with the band Red Hott. In his free time, Rick played guitar and built, then raced slot cars.
Richard is survived by his sister-in-law, Ruth Nestich; nephew, Stephen Nestich; and three great nieces, Paige, Grace and Lily Nestich.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Floyd Miles Sr.; mother, Wilma Miles Pifer; brother, Ronald Nestich; and nephew Derek Nestich.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donations in Rick’s memory can be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Association (Rick was a diabetic since the age of 5) or to The Society for the Blind.
