MANSFIELD – The Richland County Domestic Violence Shelter today announced Nayana Williams will fill the role of Child Advocate Summer Intern for 2024.
Williams is a 2022 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School and a current student at Ohio University.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with the DV Shelter this summer. As someone who grew up in Mansfield, I’m also looking forward to being able to serve my community in this capacity,” Williams said.
“It’s really an honor to be a part of such important work, and I hope to learn a lot as I get more involved in the child advocacy program. I think this will be a wonderful experience for me from both a personal and professional standpoint.”
As the Child Advocate Summer Intern, Williams will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to address the health needs of children and teens utilizing shelter services, with a focus on those impacted by mental health challenges, substance use, and negative experiences during childhood.

The internship is a part-time, temporary position designed to last for roughly 10 weeks beginning in May. Interns must be current college students with an interest in child advocacy, health, or social services.
