Thomas “Tommy” Michael Vuich, 88, of Crestline, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Crestline Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.

Tommy was born in Crestline, on November 11, 1935, to the late Michael and Helen (Stanovich) Vuich.

A dedicated member of various organizations including the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859, and VFW Post 2920, Tommy was a beloved figure in Crestline. He was a devout parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline. Known for his passion for sports, Tommy found joy in following the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns, cheering them on through victories and defeats.

Tommy’s love extended to children and family pets, bringing joy and comfort to all those around him. His daily routine was simple but meaningful – buying a newspaper, lottery tickets (including scratch offs), and signing up for drawings at the VFW and Eagles, where he spent time with friends and neighbors.

Tommy will be deeply missed by his surviving relatives, including his brother Nick (Marie) Vuich, sister Evelyn Vuich, brother John Vuich, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Crestline.

In addition to his father, Michael, Tommy was preceded in death by his stepfather Charlie Johnson, beloved mother, Helen Vuich-Johnson, and three sisters, Mary Hoffman, Linda Vuich, and Annie George.

Friends may call on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 331 North Thoman St., Crestline with Father Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.
