D. Doug Hout, 82, of Bellville, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
Doug was born February 4, 1942, in Mansfield, to Donald E. and Edith M. (Thierlein) Hout. He was a 1961 Madison High School graduate and owner/operator of Doug’s Custom Muffler for many years. Doug was involved with the Wheelhorse Garden Tractor Club and was on the Board of Directors of the Richland County Fish & Game. His hobbies included restoring garden tractors and yard art.
Along with his girlfriend, Beverly Swihart, he is survived by his son, Jeff (Shawnna) Hout of Mansfield; stepdaughters, Jackie (Eric) Deiter and Jennifer (Jason) Negel; grandchildren, Lane Hout, Gracie Hout, and Heath Hout; brother, Thomas (Joyce) Hout; and friend, Emily Saxton.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Edith Hout; and sister, Penny Bender.
There will be no services at this time.
