Clayton Herold was presented the Lion of the Year award by District Governor Julianne Zody during the awards luncheon on Saturday, April 13.

STRONGSVILLE – Crestline Lions Club Branch President Clayton Herold was named Lions District 13-OH2 Zone 5 Lion of Year at the district convention April 12 to 14 in Strongsville.

The award was presented by District Governor Julianne Zody during the awards luncheon on Saturday, April 13.

Zone 5 is made up of Lions Clubs in Bucyrus, Colonel Crawford, Crestline, Bucyrus, and Upper Sandusky.

Herold has served as President of the Crestline Noon Lions Club since it was established in January 2022.

The club said Herold has devoted much of his time to community service within Crestline and the surrounding area.

The Noon Lions Club was instrumental in the formation of the Leo Club at Crestline High School.

The club’s signature project is raising funds for scholarships at Crestline High School.

The club meets at noon on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at VFW Post 2920 in Crestline.
