Brandon Michael Cox passed away surrounded by his loved ones on April 3, 2024 at Avita Ontario Hospital. He was 30. He was born on July 16, 1993 to parents David Wayne Cox and Heidi Leigh (David) Combs in Lansing, Michigan.

Dancing through life to the beat of his own drum, Brandon was a charismatic guy who was sometime stubborn, and was quick to make everyone laugh with his wildly inappropriate, yet well-timed comments. He loved music, often gaining friendships through it, and endlessly supported his friends in their endeavors and everyday life. In his spare time, he loved Pokémon, the Power Rangers, and binge-watching Dance Moms. Above all else though, Brandon loved his family. His proudest achievement in life was becoming “Uncle Stinky” to his niece Harper, he even kept a picture of her in his wallet and bragged about her any chance he got. Brandon lived his life on his own terms, never afraid of what life might bring, and will be missed by so many who loved him.

Brandon is survived by his mother Heidi Combs, father David (Kristy) Cox, siblings McKenzie Cox, Danny (Katie) Benda, Cody Benda, Kara Benda, and Taylor Benda, niece Harper Cox, nephew Kai Wagner, paternal grandmother Donna Cox, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather David William Cox.

In lieu of flowers please consider making contributions for Brandon’s funeral expenses.

The Cox family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 1-4 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. There will then be a time of food and visiting following at the Mansfield Liederkranz from 4-7 pm.
