Charles William Dailey [BILL] 95 of Bellville Ohio died April 2, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

Bill was born on September 22, 1928 in Palmyra Ohio the son of Russel and Ethel (Swihart) Dailey On February 2 1974 He married his wife Gertrude Flynn in Winchester Virginia together they shared 50 years.

Bill is survived by his Brother Harold (Alicia) Dailey, his son Trent (Chelsea) Dailey his daughters Sonia Dotson, Linda Ramey, Donna Livesay, and Norma (Steve) Blouser, as well as Grandchildren Zoe Dailey, Zada Dailey, Gabriel Dailey, Tony Ramey, Tracy Burden, Jennifer Johnson, Lindsey Flynn, Cody Dotson, Thomasina Dotson, Charles (Joanne) Livesay, Raymond Rood, as well as many great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Bob Dailey, and his sister Donna Kissel.

Bill worked as a heavy equipment operator for Bowman and retired as a bridge superintendent for the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Bill was a member of the Goldwing Motor Cycle Club, The American Legion, and a member of The First Baptist Church of Bellville

He lived in Bellville Ohio all of his life in the home he built in 1947 just down the road from the family potato farm he worked on as a teenager in the 40’s.

Bill was an avid bowler highly regarded and nicknamed [Dollar Bill] .

A member of Knox County USBC Bowling Hall of Fame and last bowled at Trio Lanes of Fredericktown. Bill also enjoyed working on cars, being a Goldwing motorcyclist, and he loved tinkering in his garage, woodworking, golfing, hunting, mowing grass, and tending his beautiful homestead.

Bill was an honorable World War II Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Lastly, we want to acknowledge Bill for the loving father, husband, and grandfather he was.

He will be so dearly missed.
