Photos from the annual Drive Thru Easter event Saturday in the lower portion of South Park, sponsored by the City of Mansfield Parks & Recreation Department. Easter candy, toys and other small items were handed out by Mayor Jodie Perry and other local organizations for children and parents as participants drove through the event. Cars began to line up outside the entrance along Park Avenue West 30 minutes before the popular event began at 11 a.m. According to the city, the event was assisted by Richland County Children Services; the Domestic Violence Shelter; Rev. Larry Rawls with the Mansfield Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (MIMA); Smile Doctors Orthodontics; Black Hatchets Motorcycle Club; Metropolitan HousingMid-Ohio Restoration; Emerald City Motorcycle Club; City Councilman Aurelio Diaz and other elected officials; NAMI Richland County; Mansfield/Richland County Public Library; Women of Steel Local 169; Brain Freeze Frozen Treats; First English Lutheran Church & Preschool; and Latonda Williams & family.
