Fred Kane, age 76 of Tavares, Florida passed after a short illness on March 8, 2024, in his home with his loving wife, Vicki. Fred was born in Painesville, Ohio on December 2, 1947, to Mack and Esther Kane. He graduated from Harvey High School in 1965, where he excelled in football, basketball and track and field. He was a class officer and a member of both the choir and the drama club. He received a scholarship from Central State University to play football. Fred was employed at Detroit YMCA, Chrysler United Telephone, Community Action, and Conard House, where he found his passion working with seniors.

To Fred, the essence of family was not just a concept, but a cornerstone. Every decision, every achievement, and every cherished moment was anchored in his deep devotion to his loved ones. Family was not just important to him; it was the very heartbeat that sustained him, shaping his values, guiding his actions, and illuminating his path with love and purpose.

He is survived by his loving wife Vicki, his children; Stephanie Kelly, Tanya Gibson, grandchildren; Tyler Kelly, Tierra Nikolaus (Jacob), Trenton Noble, Rylea Gibson, and great granddaughter; Karmina Noble, siblings; Alice Kane, Mickey Kane (Donna), and Kathleen Moody (John); nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mack and Esther Kane; Lyons siblings; Alonzo, William, Hettie, John, Rudy, Esther, Ralph, Barney, Paul, Howard, Lucy and by his beloved grandson; Devin Alexander.
