Charles Allen Swack, sixty years old of Mansfield, Ohio and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, suddenly passed away in Fort Lauderdale on January 2, 2024. Charles was born in Mansfield, Ohio on December 25, 1963, to Bernard and Allegra (Arbib) Swack. Charles graduated from Malabar High School and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, going on to work in the family businesses, Provident Management and Lock It Up Storage as a Vice President of both entities. Charles learned the business from his father who taught him well.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved mother Allegra and is survived by his father, Bernard Swack of Mansfield, Ohio, his sisters Diana Swack Salen of Mansfield, Ohio and New York, New York and Cheryl Swack (Timothy McNabb) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, his niece Sofia Salen of Scottsdale, Arizona, and his friend Omar Khachar of Mansfield, Ohio.
Everyone who knew Charles knew how much he loved modeling, buying and selling cars, buying and designing jewelry, decorating his homes in Ohio and Florida, and spending time with his friends. He had a soft spot for his four cats, treating each like the valuable family member they were.
Charles had a vivid personality and could light up a room. Charles will always be remembered for his generosity to his friends and family. He was a beloved son and brother, and we will miss him every day. Charles’ memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
A chapel funeral service was held on January 7, 2024, at Beth David Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Florida.
A memorial service honoring Charles’ life will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 2:00 pm at McElvain Homes, the former Emanuel Jacob Congregation building at 973 Larchwood Road, Mansfield, Ohio on the corner of Cook and Larchwood Roads. The family invites guests and friends to join them to share memories of Charles.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles’ memory to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
