MANSFIELD — A pair of Tygers headlined the All-Ohio Cardinal Conference girls basketball team.
Monetta Hilory and Kiersten Bradley both earned spots on the All-OCC first team after helping the Tygers to a runner-up finish. Senior High finished 20-4 overall and 12-2 in OCC play.
West Holmes won the conference crown with a 13-1 record. West Holmes’ Keegan Uhl was selected the OCC Player of the Year and Lindsy Belden was the Coach of the Year.
Lexington’s Makaree Chapman and Ashland’s Kennedy Lacey joined Hilory and Bradley on the first team. Other first-teamers included Wooster’s Grace Kostohryz, West Holmes’ Allie McMillen and New Philadelphia’s Ellie Mason.
Lexington’s Ava Brown, Madison’s Natalee Back, Ashland’s Camryn Cox, Mansfield Senior’s Annaleise Norris and Mount Vernon’s Kymber Bell were second-team picks. West Holmes’ Briar Cline and Wooster’s Tori Pettorini also earned second-team bids.
Honorable-mention selections were Ashland’s Madison Hoffman and Cienna Steury, Lexington’s Tatum Stover and Cora Palmer, Madison’s Chloe Ebeling and Morgan Cook, Mansfield Senior’s Kyeona Myers and Juleah Windham, Mount Vernon’s Kaitlyn Thompson and Kaitlyn Dapprich, New Philadelphia’s Jazzee Barker and Cecilia Espenschied, West Holmes’ Aveona Yoder and Chloe Patten and Wooster’s Josie Wright and Brooke Ritchie.
