MARYSVILLE: Norma Jean Shaull, formerly of Mansfield, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2024 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was 88.

She was born on September 8, 1935 to parents Gerald and Naomi (Kennedy) Jacobs in Ontario, Ohio. Norma attended and graduated from Ontario High School with the class of 1953. On April 10, 1965, she married the love of her life Roger Shaull, and they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage together.

In the early 1960’s Norma worked at the Grace Brethren Foreign Missionary Society in Winona Lake, Indiana. After moving to Mansfield, Ohio she worked in the credit department at Montgomery Ward, then went on to work as the medical staff secretary at Mansfield General Hospital until her retirement in December of 1998.

Norma was a member of the Woodville Grace Brethren Church, where she served the Lord faithfully for many years. After moving to Marysville, she and Roger attended Marysville Grace Church where they continued to strengthen their faith.

In her spare time, she loved to read and she enjoyed tending to her garden, creating amazing bulletin boards at church, and crafting with her grandchildren. But above all, Norma cherished spending time with her large family. She never missed an opportunity to surround herself with those she loved most.

She is survived by her loving husband Roger Shaull, son Philip (Ruth) Shaull of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, daughter Suzanne (Rick) Smith of Marysville, Ohio, grandchildren Ethan Shaull, Zachary (Bri) Shaull, Emily Shaull, Abbey Shaull, Chad Smith, Trent (Elizabeth) Smith, and Summer Smith, and her first great-grandchild who is expected in July. Norma is also survived by her siblings Peggy Carver, Richard Jacobs, Frank Jacobs, and Don Jacobs.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Gary Jacobs, Jack Jacobs, and Kenny Jacobs, and sisters Shirley Joan Cook, Karen Sue Jacobs, and Sally Sedlacek.

The Shaull family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 1-2 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a memorial service honoring Norma’s life will begin immediately at 2 pm. Pastor Don Smith will speak.
