MANSFIELD — Richland County Transit (RCT) is celebrating Ohio Loves Transit Week with a goody bag giveaway for riders.
On Wednesday, Feb. 14, all RCT passengers who ride Dial A Ride or any of the nine fixed routes will be offered a free RCT shopping bag with surprises inside, while supplies last.
The event is sponsored by RCT in partnership with the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging.
During Ohio Loves Transit Week, which runs Feb. 11 through Feb. 17, transit agencies around Ohio highlight their impact in the communities they serve.
Transit agencies like RCT keep communities moving, connecting friends and neighbors to essential jobs, medical appointments, education, shopping and more.
RCT provides safe and efficient service Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with fixed routes and Dial A Ride ADA paratransit services throughout Mansfield and portions of Ontario and Madison Twp.
The Area Agency on Aging also sponsors the RCT Grocery Shuttle service for seniors 60 and over. To learn more about RCT services, call 419-522-4504 or visit https://rctbuses.com/
Public transit helps keep our economy moving. Last year, RCT provided over 120,000 trips, transporting local workers, students, patients and patrons.
Statewide Ohio’s transit agencies provide over 59 million trips each year.
