Elizabeth K. (Schmidt) Krebs, 92, of Mansfield passed away March 2, 2023. She was born March 13, 1930 in Regent. ND. She married Joseph S. Krebs (deceased) on October 14, 1947 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Lefor, ND. The family moved to Mansfield in 1958. Elizabeth worked for Therm-O-Disc from 1962-1988 with 25 years of service. While working and during retirement she enjoyed cooking, baking (for family and friends) and tending to her flower beds. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Liederkranz and Sons of Herman.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Sylvester Krebs/Bob Schaafsma of Phoenix-AZ, daughter, Renee of Mansfield; three grandsons and great-grandchildren Kyle & Lauren Andrews (Landon & Leah) in VA, Kraig/Abbra Andrews (Joslyn, Lucus, Leighton & Lacy) in NC & Kolby (Brody) Andrews in Columbus; two sisters Donna/Art Decker, Darlene/Jordan Fisher; four brothers Ed/Barbara Schmidt, Richard/Arlee Schmidt, Melvin Schmidt and Steve/Donna Schmidt; in-laws: Taeko Schmidt, Evelyn Schmidt, Virginia Schmidt, Susanna Groff and Phillip/Aylin Krebs & Agnes Krebs plus many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 60 S. Mulberry Street with Fr. Kevin Moebius officiating. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
