Anthony Flores, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away at the age of 84 on Monday, October 17, 2022, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family.
Anthony (Tony) was born in 1938 in East Chicago, Indiana to Gregorio and Maria Flores, who had just immigrated to America. Anthony attended Hammond High School where he was President of the Hi-Y Christian Club and lettered in Cross Country. He had fond memories of helping the Cross Country Team win the Tri-County Meet. Anthony worked at Inland Steel while in High School and planned to continue working there following graduation, but that all changed when he visited one of his classmates at Indiana University…
