Milton Easterday of Springfield passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at Springfield Medical Center at the age of 98.
Born July 19, 1924, in Portersville, Ohio, to the late William and Dora (Northrup) Easterday, he was a graduate of Mt. Victory High School in 1942. Milton retired from Ohio Seamless Tube in Shelby working in IT for many years. He married Mary Thompson on January 1, 1944, and they lived most of their marriage in the Mansfield area. He enjoyed sports and especially enjoyed playing golf. He was a 50-year member of the Shelby Masonic Lodge #350. Milton was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Mansfield.
He is survived by his wife of 78 years, Mary Easterday; daughter, Sharon Easterday of Underhill, VT; son, Larry (Barbara) Easterday of Evans, CO; a grandson, Jeff (Jen) Easterday of Windsor, CO; and a great-granddaughter, Danielle Easterday. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dallas Easterday.
Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Mount Victory, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at a future date. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road.
