MANSFIELD — Grammy Award winner B.J. Thomas had a thought in 1969 that could apply to today’s forecast.
So I just did me some talking to the sun
And I said I didn’t like the way he got things done
Sleeping on the job
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling
That song, Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head, was part of the soundtrack for the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, with Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
But the sentiment will hold true today in Richland County.
Our area will be under a marginal risk for severe weather conditions later this afternoon and evening. It could bring isolated strong winds and heavy rain.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to move northeast across the area throughout the day.
The timing for this potential weather event appears to be between 2 and 9 p.m., according to Joseph D. Petrycki, Director of the Richland County Emergency Management Agency.
Petrycki advises north central Ohio residents to monitor the forecast and stay weather aware.
