Tommy D. Metheney

 Tommy Dean Metheney died at home on August 24, 2022 at the age of 74.

He retired from General Motors as a journeyman welder after 36 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Anita (Snelson) Metheney, two daughters, Melissa Metheney, and Krista (Metheney) Anderson, a twin brother, Cooper Gene (Shelley) Metheney, sisters Pamela Bensinger, and Connie Marfia, one grandson along with nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eister and Mary Metheney and his son Matthew Dean Metheney.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1780 Middle Bellville Road, Mansfield, OH and on zoom on Saturday September 3 at 4:00 PM.

Tom will be remembered as being loving, generous, and always helpful. He was a problem solver, and always coming up with solutions to everyday problems. He put himself out to help others and to make them happy. 

Most outstanding was his unwavering love for his God, Jehovah. Because of his love for God and for others, he always enjoyed sharing the Bible’s positive message. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1986 and was a member of the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
