MANSFIELD — Well, at least Mother Nature let us get through the first football Friday night in relative peace.
That and a pleasant Saturday morning will probably turn, and perhaps dramatically, later this afternoon through tomorrow night.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, Richland County has been placed under a Hazardous Weather Outlook starting Saturday afternoon through Sunday night.
A couple of isolated strong to marginally severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into evening, said Joseph D. Petrycki, Director of the Richland County Emergency Mangament Agency.
“There is a very limited risk for isolated damaging wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph with the strongest and more organized storms,” Petrycki said. “We could also see localized heavy rainfall as well.
“The risk is the same for Sunday afternoon and evening.”
Richland County residents are urged to monitor the forecast and stay weather aware through the weekend.
