Art created by Highland students was recently recognized by Akron Children's Hospital. Three pieces of art created by middle school artists are: Keegan Tackett – grade 8; Jossalyn Varney – grade 8 and Emma Zornes – grade 6.

SPARTA — Six pieces of art created by Highland Local School District students were recently selected by representatives for recognition by Akron Children’s Hospital.

“Akron Children’s is committed to include art that patients and parents can enjoy as they navigate their way through very strong emotions” says spokesperson for Akron Children’s, Jill Hazen.

“We believe your art will give comfort, strength and hope to these families that are waiting, hoping and praying for good news.”

Three pieces of art created by high school artists are:

Alexa VanHorne – grade 9; Shelby Conley – grade 11 and Brooke Schott – grade 11.

Three pieces of art created by middle school artists are: Keegan Tackett – grade 8; Jossalyn Varney – grade 8 and Emma Zornes – grade 6.
