ATTICA – A Tiffin man was killed Friday night in a one-vehicle accident after he struck a house in Seneca County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Mark Rathburn, 44, was transported after the crash to Willard Mercy Hospital by Bloom-Scipio EMS, where he was later pronounced deceased, the Patrol stated.
The Norwalk Post reported the incident took place at 9:21 p.m. on US 224 near milepost 29 in Attica.
According to the official report, Rathburn was driving a 2007 Honda Fit westbound on U.S. 224 when it traveled off the south side of the roadway and struck a house. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Rush Towing.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were Bloom-Scipio EMS, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca County Coroner’s Office, and Rush Towing.
