MANSFIELD – Richland Academy of the Arts is excited to announce its most recent new-hire, Joann Jeffries, who will be teaching piano, clarinet, flute, music theory, music history, and music appreciation classes and lessons at the Academy.
Jeffries has a B.M. in Clarinet Pedagogy from Heidelberg College, and a M.M. in Clarinet Pedagogy with an emphasis in Woodwind Specialty from Kent State University.
She played in the Heidelberg Orchestra, Kent State Wind Ensemble and Kent State University Orchestra and Concert Band.
Jeffries spent years teaching lessons in Northeast Ohio. Along with performing freelance, she has played professionally with the Cleveland Opera Circle and The Tuscarawas Philharmonic.
Jeffries is proficient in piano, voice, and is trained in Vocal Pedagogy. She has performed vocally with the Heidelberg Community Chorus, and for many weddings and church services.
