The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather chill advisory for Richland, Crawford, Ashland and Knox counties.
The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
Wind chill levels are expected to reach 15-below zero in the early morning hours.
On Saturday afternoon, expect to see sunny skies, with a high near 16. Wind chill values will be as low as -12 with northwest winds 3 to 8 mph.
According to the NWS, the forecast for Saturday night calls for increasing clouds, with a low around 3. Calm winds from the south will be 5 to 7 mph after midnight.
On Sunday, there is a chance of snow showers, mainly between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. South winds will reach 3 to 7 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
Sunday night there’s a slight chance of snow showers before 8 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. The chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday should see partly sunny skies, with a high near 31. Monday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 22.
