NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford’s Mason Studer and Carter Valentine authored a potent, double-barreled attack that was too much for Lexington in Saturday night’s 51-38 non-conference boys basketball victory.
Studer notched 19 points and six rebounds, while Valentine posted 14 points and 13 rebounds to help the Eagles remain undefeated at 12-0.
The Minutemen (10-4) got 14 points and 13 rebounds from Braden Forup, but no one else reached double figures against C.C.’s stingy defense.
The two squads battled to a 6-6 first-quarter tie, but Colonel Crawford forged an 18-16 halftime edge. The Eagles moved on top 31-25 through three quarters, and leaned on their defense to chalk up an impressive victory.
Lexington travels to Madison on Tuesday, while C.C. returns to action on Wednesday at Carey.
