MADISON TOWNSHIP — The Madison Early Childhood Learning Center (MECLC) had its first annual Holiday Festival on Monday night for all of its early childhood families.

MECLC is a 5-Star rated SUTQ Ohio Department of Education licensed preschool and childcare program for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in the Madison Local School District.

The Holiday Festival was a free event for all of the children that attend the MECLC program including all of their family members.

There were over 200 parents and children that attended the evening full of fun activities. Families were given a ticket that they used as a passport when they arrived, and they used this ticket when they went to each location.

They had their ticket punched after completing each area. When they completed their ticket, they turned it in at the end of the night to receive a prize (Backpack or water bottle with the new MECLC logo).

All of the families were able to participate in a variety of activities including carnival games with prizes, making ornaments, cookie decorating, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and a bouncy house. There was a dinner that was also provided to all of the families in the cafeteria.

MECLC partners with many community members for a variety of services, and a few of them were at the event to share information about their services to the families.

The community partners that attended the Holiday Festival included Anne Vermillion from Catalyst, Robyn McNulty and Crystal McMillen from Madison Adult Ed., and Elizabeth Donaldson from the Madison Library Branch.
