LEXINGTON — A building that is home to a gas station and convenience store in Lexington recently sold for $1,478,000, according to a property transfer filed with the Richland County Auditor’s Office.
The business at 2827 Lexington Ave. was sold by Speedway, LLC, to Anabi Real Estate Development, LLC, according to the public record.
According to published reports, Anabi Oil, a family owned and operated business based in Upland, Calif., announced earlier this year it will purchase 124 Speedway stores in the Midwest, Northeast, Utah and Florida.
Anabi Oil is acquiring the stores from 7-Eleven, which recently completed the acquisition of Speedway from Marathon Petroleum Corp.
The business now operates as REBEL.
According to a story at CSstoredecisions.com, “Anabi Oil is one of the largest Shell-branded wholesalers in California, distributing to over 200 stations under multiple major brands, including its proprietary REBEL brand. This acquisition brings Anabi’s retail portfolio to over 450 stores nationally throughout 15 states.”
