NORTH ROBINSON — Lincoln Mollenkopf had himself a night, and so did his Colonel Crawford teammates.

Mollenkopf ripped off 260 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 27 carries to lead the Eagles to a 49-21 pasting of Wynford on Friday night to claim the Iron Plow.

Cobey Allen got the Royals on the board first with a 9-yard TD pass, one of three he tossed on the night, but his team would never lead again.

Kamryn Lohr fired a 25-yard touchdown pass to tie the game 7-7 after the first period.

Colonel Crawford’s 24-point eruption in the second quarter made it 31-14 at the half and put the game out of reach.

Lohr completed 8-of-14 passes for 116 yards and a score, and added 72 yards rushing on just five carries. Mollenkopf’s touchdowns came from 19, 40, 49 and 5 yards.

Allen topped Wynford by completing 14-of-21 passes for 247 yards. Jaron Filliater caught 6 passes for 158 yards and a TD.

But the Eagles amassed 504 yards in total offense, and had a 26-12 edge in first downs as the Royals just couldn’t keep pace offensively.

This victory, coupled with last year’s C.C. win at Wynford, made this the first time the Eagles have beaten the Royals in back-to-back years since 1992 and 1993 seasons.

Colonel Crawford improves to 5-1 overall, 2-1 in the N10. The Eagles travel to Mohawk on Friday night.

Wynford drops to 3-3, 2-1 heading into next week’s home game with Seneca East.
