Miriam Rader passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 in Elk Grove, California. She was 95.

Miriam was born in Ashland County, Ohio on February 24, 1926 to Julius & Rosa (Yeater) Wolf.  The family moved to Richland County in 1927, and Miriam graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1943.

Miriam loved the farm and being outdoors.  While working at Richland Bank in the early 1950s, she was introduced to a man who shared those loves by coworker (and future sister-in-law), Vera Greenawalt.  She married Chester R. Rader on April 2, 1954, and they spent 53 years together until his death in 2007.

Miriam also loved children, and cared for many over the years, offering them a loving environment while their parents worked.  She took care of many of her great-nieces and nephews, along with many neighborhood children.

Miriam moved to Sun City West, Arizona in 2008 to live with her sister, Bernice (Ellsworth) Campbell, who was also widowed in 2007.  They moved to Elk Grove, CA in 2014.

She is survived by daughter Cindy (Dan) Carroll of Elk Grove, California; son Gary Rader (Mark McLoughlin) of Columbus, Ohio; grandson Bradley (Ani) Carroll and granddaughter Leah Carroll; sister Bernice; sister-in-law Sandra Rader; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister Dorothy; sister Virginia (Ted) McBride; and many sisters and brothers-in-law.

Services for Miriam will be held in the future; details will be shared at a later date.  Memorials may be sent to:
