Josephine B. Glick, 87, of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021.
Josephine was born on May 5, 1933 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter to the late Joseph and Erma (McGugin) Connell. Josephine retired from Therm-O-Disc after many years of dedicated employment. She married, Floyd in February 9, 1952. Josephine was saved at a very young age and built her family foundation on Christ. She was key in teaching her family about the Lord, taking them to church. These things helped guide them in their decisions to getting saved and beginning their own personal journey. She was a life long member of the Church of the Nazarene, and faithfully attended many revivals over the years. Josephine did not know a stranger and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone. She and her husband, Floyd organized the Shanty Town Reunion for many years that was held at Liberty Park. Josephine was an amazing cook, and loved to share her home cooked meals with others. She enjoyed golfing and bowling.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Pam (Jan) Wending, Floyd (Annetta) Glick, and Ellen E. Eichler; her grandchildren, Stacey R. Jones, Rick Jones, and Rebecca (Derek) Amert; her great grandchildren, Derek E. (Haley) Amert Jr., Samuel H. Amert, Olivia G. Amert, Maggie L. Jones, Toby G. Amert, Emma L. Amert, and Sadie R. Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd F. Glick Sr. on January 15, 2000; her brothers, Lawrence Ware, and Joseph “Lester” Connell; her sister, Mary Weary; and her son-in-law, William “Bill” Eichler Jr.
A graveside service will be held at Mansfield Cemetery on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Glick family.
